What to do now you have passed your Driving Test
Passed your driving test within the last year?... Then this scheme is for you!
Why?
As a new driver you are more likely to have an accident in the first year after passing your test than any other time throughout your motoring career. Lack of experience means that you could be as much as two seconds slower than a more practiced motorist in recognising danger- (Even with my expert help and guidance and the hazard perception part of the theory test) and that may be the two seconds difference between life and death. Young drivers are especially vulnerable. They hold 10% of licences but are involved in 20% of accidents in which someone is injured.
What's Involved?
When you have passed your test you can take a pass plus course, which is 6 specially designed training lessons. These cover: In town driver; Rural roads and hazards; All weather driving; Night driving; Dual carriageways; and Motorway driving.
Training with a professional under the Pass Plus Scheme helps you to quickly gain valuable extra experience and positive driving skills that would otherwise take a long time to acquire. There is no further test to take. When I am satisfied with your performance you will recieve a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency. This certifiacate may entitle you to a discount of upto 33% off your initial premium from a majority of insurance companies (always check and shop around for the best discount on your insurance). You may also recieve a discount if you are added on your parents or partners car insurance.

Module 2: Rural Roads and hazards
Dealing with roads outside of urban areas including narrow country lanes.
Module 3: All Weather Driving
How to drive safely in all weather conditions.
Module 4: Night Driving
How to drive safely at night when visablity is reduced. Learn rules about parking at night and much more.
Module 5: Dual Carriageways
How to join and exit these roads safely. Overtaking and forward planning.
Module 6: Motorway driving
What to do if you breakdown, planning a journey, joining and leaving as well as overtaking.
